The L&M Duo is composed by Lenin Guerra and Mauro de Toledo, two Brazilian friends living in Saskatoon, SK. Mauro came to Saskatoon as a PhD student, while Lenin came as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Saskatchewan. They were already friends when they realized they shared the same passion for music and decided to form a guitar duo. They enjoy playing various musical styles and are fond of Latin music in general. So, their debut was in 2019 in an event hosted by the International Student and Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC), at the Louis’ Pub, in the University of Saskatchewan. There, they represented Brazil and the Brazilian Students’ Association (BRASA) by performing various popular Brazilian songs for a crowd of recently arrived international students. Lenin and Mauro will perform a few songs to give people a taste of the beauty and diversity of the Latin music.
